Essex County, NJ –Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. invites the public to visit the Essex County Parks System and enjoy the 2024 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series. Upcoming events feature Suite and Mai Tai, Jersey Sound, a Gospel Festival and the NJ Symphony Orchestra and a Fireworks Spectacular.

 

“Our Free Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers who will take center stage in venues throughout our historic Essex County Park System. Pack a blanket, enjoy the cool evening breeze and dance to the sounds of classical, rock and roll, jazz, big band, Latin and more,” DiVincenzo said.

 

Suit and Mai Tai fill the stage with the smooth sounds of yacht rock. Their outstanding musicians deliver a huge musical sound with big sweeping dynamic vocals, full harmonies and seemingly endless range. Performing classics from artists such as Christopher Cross, The Eagles, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Toto, Journey, Styx, Steely Dan, Pat Benatar, Heart, Night Ranger and other, the band’s fun and diverse set list is an eclectic mix of music from a bygone but not forgotten era. Suit and Mai Tai will perform as follows:

 

 

Known for its versatility and talented members, Jersey Sound is one of the tri-state area’s most popular premiere oldies bands. Jersey Sound puts its own spin on the music industry by presenting a combination of music genres and creating unforgettable music. An eclectic blend of classic oldies, classic rock, Motown, R&B, British invasion and popular tunes originally recorded by the greatest legends of rock and roll is performed by the band’s vocalists and rhythm section. Jersey Sound will perform as follows:

 

 

Enjoy the sounds of the New Jersey Symphony under the stars! This free program features a medley of timeless classics, Broadway themes and patriotic favorites. The program also celebrates the Garden State with pieces such as John Williams’ Liberty Fanfare, John Philip Sousa’s Atlantic City Pageant March and other Jersey treasures. The NJSO and Fireworks Display will be held as follows:

 

 

A Gospel Festival in Essex County Monte Irvin Orange Park in Orange is being presented by the City of Orange Township and Essex County. It will be held as follows:

 

 

The SummerMusic Concert Series is being sponsored by Rose Squared Productions. The series is also made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
