Essex County, NJ –Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. invites the public to visit the Essex County Parks System and enjoy the 2024 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series. Upcoming events feature Trilogy: An Opera Company, Luis Motta Y Su Rumba and The Niche: A Night of R&B.

 

“Our Free Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers who will take center stage in venues throughout our historic Essex County Park System. Pack a blanket, enjoy the cool evening breeze and dance to the sounds of classical, rock and roll, jazz, big band, Latin and more,” DiVincenzo said.

 

Trilogy focuses on the works of black composers and subject matter relative to the black experience. Their performances are accessible to the public. During this show, they will perform Scott, Garner, Gray: Says Jimmy Baldwin. Trilogy will be held as follows:

 

 

The Latin music band called Luis Motta Y Su Rumba is are based in Northern New Jersey and play mainly salsa music, but they also include popular tunes from other genres such as Merengue, Cumbia and Bolero in their repertoire. Their energetic performances have attracted many fans, especially those who enjoy hard Salsa. Currently, they are considered to be one of the top hot Salsa Bands in New Jersey. Luis Motta Y Su Rumba will be held as follows:

 

 

The Niche includes some of the area’s most elite singers and musicians. Their dynamic stage presence and powerful sound will create something special for all ages. They have an extensive repertoire that includes Sinatra, songs from the swing era to the late 1950s and ‘60s, the disco ‘70s, ‘80’s MTV hits and the 2000s. Their music will keep the audience on their feet and dancing. The Niche will perform as follows:

 

 

The SummerMusic Concert Series is being sponsored by Rose Squared Productions. The series is also made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.

The Essex County Park System was created in 1895 and is the first county park system established in the United States. The Park System consists of more than 6,000 acres and has 23 parks, five reservations, an environmental center, a zoo, Treetop Adventure Course, ice skating rink, roller skating rink, three public golf courses, golf driving range, two miniature golf courses, Treetop Adventure Course, six off-leash dog facilities, a castle and the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens.
