The Essex Fells Water Department is a 7 day a week operation with three full time employees sharing rotating shifts to maintain and operate its facilities. The water supply system consists primarily of groundwater supply wells and treatment facilities, various interconnections, storage facilities, booster pumping stations, and transmission and distribution facilities. In addition to supplying the residents of Essex Fells, the Borough’s groundwater supply wells currently serve the adjacent communities of North Caldwell, Caldwell, and Roseland on a wholesale basis.
